A video released by Maersk Line via Vimeo shows a time-lapse of one of its Triple-E vessels being built in 76 seconds, from the foundations of construction to the finished product.
According to the video summary, the time-lapse was produced by Discovery Channel and Maersk, and it consists of 50,000 photos taken over three months.
The ship is no longer the world’s biggest container ship, however, the Triple-E class of ships were among the first generation of mega-ships, and help to shift Maersk’s total global volume share of 40%.
