Inna Kuznetsova, President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at INTTRA, has answered questions about the how digital systems are changing the container shipping industry during Port Technology's Container Terminal Automation Conference (#CTAC2018).
The one-on-one interview, part of a series filmed at Port Technology's Container Terminal Automation Conference, has revealed how recent developments (timestamped below), including 2017's industry-wide cyberattack, has had affected the way companies are transporting ocean freight.
INTTRA was founded in 2001 as a joint venture between CMA-CGM, Hamburg Sud, Hapag-Lloyd, Maersk Line, MSC, and UASC to create a standard electronic booking system for the ocean freight industry.

During the interview, Kuznetsova said: “We keep talking about digitalization achieving and passing the tipping point in [the] industry, creating the situation where companies go and turn their physical networks into digital networks, exchanging information with each other in a digital manner.
“What you have to understand, though, is that it also creates the network effect. Everybody trades with everybody in shipping and in supply chain and procurement and other areas. “
