CMA CGM has announced plans to operate the North Red Sea Express (NRX), connecting Jeddah Islamic Port in Saudi Arabia to NEOM, Sokhna in Egypt, Aqaba in Jordan, and Yanbu in Saudi Arabia.
This service will be run in collaboration with Folk Maritime, Saudi Arabia’s independent feeder and short-sea shipping company.
The weekly service will include two vessels for cargo transshipment from both Jeddah Islamic Port Terminals Red Sea Gate Terminal (RSGT) and DP World Jeddah.

The route intends to meet the region’s rising market and commerce demands while providing smooth cargo processing and delivery to local organisations and helping reduce carbon emissions by offering reliable and effective alternative sea solutions between Jeddah, NEOM and Yanbu.
The M/V JIN SHUN HE will depart from Jeddah on 9 April 2024 to launch the NRX service.
Recently, PortMiami welcomed the CMA CGM Bali to the seaport, a vessel with a total capacity of 15,000 TEU.
