Cavotec has signed a shore power order from Equans for the Port of Antwerp-Bruges with a total value of approximately €1.55 million ($1.77 million).
The shore power system will contribute to reducing emissions and support compliance with international environmental regulations.
The project, which is co-funded by the European Union (EU), will enable cruise vessels calling at the terminal to connect to shore-side electricity, allowing them to shut down their onboard generators and reduce emissions while berthed.
As part of the agreement, Cavotec will also provide maintenance services for the equipment for a period of five years.
Delivery is scheduled for the third quarter of 2026.

“This order reinforces our strong position in the market for cruise applications and highlights the trust customers place in our technology as ports accelerate their transition to clean operations,” said David Pagels, CEO of Cavotec.
Last October, Cavotec signed two large contracts for €6.5 million ($7 million) to supply its PowerMove shore power systems to two Mediterranean ports. These solutions will help RoRo vessels and cruise ships connect to shore electricity, dramatically lowering emissions and contributing to more sustainable port operations.
