A fire has broken out in the Port of Barcelona after a ferry hit a loading crane at 8 a.m. this morning, according to the Associated Press.
The crash took place on the port’s south pier but no injuries have so far been reported.

A spokeswoman for the Barcelona city authorities, who was not authorized to be identified, said four containers were on fire having fallen from their place on the port.

Firefighters were fighting the flames with foam as it has not been established if the contents of the on-shore containers poses any further risk.
