Cargo-Partner opens new office near Madrid Barajas Airport

Cargo-Partner, a transportation and logistics company, has opened a second Spanish office near Madrid Barajas Airport.

Following the establishment of Cargo-Partner’s branch office in Barcelona in September 2022, the logistics provider has added an office in Madrid in response to growing demand from local customers.

Oriol Asturgo, Managing Director of Cargo-Partner in Spain, explained: “As the capital city of Spain and a major economic center in Europe, Madrid attracts a diverse range of industries and multinational corporations.

“Its well-developed infrastructure and excellent connectivity made it an ideal choice for our ongoing expansion in Western Europe.

“The new office provides a modern environment for our employees, a welcoming atmosphere for our customers, and the perfect location for us to continue to deliver personalised solutions to our clients and partners,” Asturgo added.

Additionally, Madrid is well-connected to key ports, such as Valencia and Algeciras, facilitating the movement of goods between the city and maritime trade networks.

Cargo-Partner provides regular sea freight services between Spain and Latin America, including a bi-monthly LCL solution between Barcelona and Honduras as well as Panama.

Currently, the team consists of 23 employees, and Cargo-Partner plans to grow both in Madrid and Barcelona.

In June 2023, the Port of Valencia planned to bolster its position as the foremost European container port in the Mediterranean following recent reports of CMA CGM‘s entry in the Iberian market.

More recently, the Port Authority of Valencia (PAV) and Illescas Town Council signed a contract for the collaborative promotion of the future rail freight terminal of the Iberum multimodal central platform.
