Bromma boosted by strong STS spreader sales

  • 34 all-electric spreaders on order, plus new STS45 contracts

Bromma has reported a strong start to the year with a number of major contracts agreed for its ship-to-shore (STS) spreader units.

The Stockholm-based manufacturer’s orders included an order for five STS45 spreaders from Port Newark Container Terminal and a further four STS45 models from the Port of Tacoma, Washington.

In Europe the company’s order book comprised of six STS45 and one Tandem Quattro for APMT Algeciras, six STS45 for both DP World’s Southampton container terminal and Turkey’s Yilport, while HPC in the Ukraine ordered four STS45 spreaders.

Bromma also received orders from TC Panagua, Brazil, and Malaysia’s Westport for five and seven STS45 spreaders respectively.

Meanwhile, the company also took a number of orders for its new all-electric GreenlineTM spreaders, with the most significant of these coming from Westports for 31 YSX40E and five YSX40 models. Further orders included 14 YSX45E spreaders to Greece’s Pireaus Container Terminal, 12 YSX45E for Khalifa Port and eight YSX45E for the Port of Houston.
