APMT Pipavav handles over 200 PMPH on a single vessel

APM Terminals (APMT) Pipavav Gujarat Pipavav Port (GPPL) has broken its previous records by accomplishing over 200 Port Moves Per Hour (PMPH) on a single vessel.

On 17 August, the port carried out 880 moves, achieving an impressive PMPH rate of 215.51 on vessel MOL Endowment.

This accomplishment also encompassed 52.59 Crane Moves Per Hour (CMPH) and saved 23 minutes of Vessel Idle Time (VIT), leading to total savings of 9.09 port hours compared to its baseline.

This amounts to a 69 per cent improvement in vessel turnaround time over the previous call.

In April 2023, APMT Pipavav announced that it will invest around $90 million in a new liquid berth.

More recently, APMT Pipavav GPPL launched Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC) operations with the berthing of MT Jag Viraat.
