APMT announces two new MD appointments

APM Terminals (APMT) has named two new Managing Directors (MDs) for the Port of Salalah and Suez Canal Container Terminal (SCCT).

Steven Yoogalingam has been appointed as Managing Director of the Port of Salalah, and Keld Mosgaard Christensen has been appointed as Managing Director of SCCT.

Yoogalingam joins Salalah having previously served as Managing Director of the Suez Canal Container Terminal in Port Said, Egypt.

Prior to this, he worked with APMT in Aqaba Container Terminal, Jordan, and the Port of Tanjung Pelepas, Malaysia.

Yoogalingam has previous international experience working with ports in Jebel Ali, Dubai, and Busan, Korea.

Christensen, on the other hand, joins SCCT immediately from his post as Managing Director of the Port of Salalah in Oman.

Prior to his stint in Oman, he worked at APMT in Poti, Georgia, and at its headquarters in The Hague, Netherlands.

In October, APMT Maasvlakte II announced a partnership with Konecranes for an Automated Horizontal Transport System, marking a key phase in its expansion to double terminal capacity by 2027.
