ABP appoints new Lead Asset Manager

Associated British Ports (ABP) has announced the appointment of Tim Hook as Lead Asset Manager at the Port of Southampton.

Hook, who just joined ABP’s expanding property team at the Port of Southampton, is in charge of discovering new business possibilities by managing and creating relationships with new and existing ABP clients, as well as property asset management and development projects.

Hook joins ABP from RSS Global and reportedly has expertise in designing plans to fulfil tenants’ demands and assisting them in growing their operations while making the most use of available land and buildings.

Ian Henderson, Head of Property for ABP, said: “We are developing our property function to better support our customers. The Property Asset Manager is not the only new role we’ve created within our team; we are focusing on enhancing three core areas: our already established Estate Management team, Property Asset Management and Property Development.

“This is in turn supported centrally with Master Planning, Building Surveying and Property Operations. Each function comes with its own responsibility and focuses on providing a better experience for our tenants, driving growth for their business, and developing the property portfolio to make the best use of the property and land available.”

Tim Hook, Property Asset Manager, stated: “I am pleased to join ABP at this exciting time as we drive the property focus on tenants’ needs and requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for me to be part of a dynamic property strategy that will deliver projects to future-proof sustainable growth for our tenants, customers, and ABP.”

Recently, ABP announced the appointment of Ben St-Quintin as the new Lead Property Development Management for the Wales & Short Sea Ports region.
