Yangon Port will handle 53 container vessel calls in April 2026, as the Myanmar Port Authority ramps up capacity to accommodate larger ships and growing trade volumes.
The planned calls include 11 vessels from COSCO Shipping Line, nine from SITC Shipping Line, five each from Maersk and Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) Line, four each from CMA CGM Line and Ocean Network Express (ONE) Line, and smaller numbers from other international operators.
The Myanmar Port Authority has enhanced maritime trade channels to accommodate rising imports, support exports, and improve handling capacity for larger vessels.
Ship arrival schedules will be communicated promptly to exporters and importers as the April schedule extends.

In recent months, Yangon Port has maintained steady container throughput, handling 59 vessels in March, 60 in February, and 63 in January 2026.
Capacity improvements follow accelerated draft extension work on the newly navigable Kings Bank Channel, which allows larger vessels to access the inner Yangon River.
These upgrades position Yangon Port to better manage increasing trade flows and larger container vessels, reinforcing its role as a key gateway for Myanmar’s imports and exports.
