Valenciaport closed 2025 with solid growth in container traffic, handling 5.66 million TEUs (6.1-metre containers), a 3.41 per cent increase year-on-year (YoY).
Across the ports managed by the Port Authority of Valencia (APV), general cargo volumes reached 80.06 million tonnes, representing a marginal decline of 0.75 per cent.
Containerised trade showed particular strength, with exports rising by 5.56 per cent and imports surging by 15.55 per cent over the year.

This performance reinforces Valenciaport’s role as a strategic logistics and services hub for foreign trade and market supply.
In 2025, China emerged as Valenciaport’s leading trading partner, followed by Italy and the US, which remain the port system’s main international markets.
In terms of traffic trends, the highest growth rates for the year were recorded in flows linked to China, Algeria and France.
