Terberg secures largest-ever EV tractor order
Terberg has announced that port operator Marsa Maroc has placed an order for 106 Terberg electric terminal tractors.

The batteries have a large capacity, allowing for a range of multiple shifts. The tractors will be built at Terberg’s plant in Malaysia and will be deployed at the new terminal in development Nador West in Morocco.

As the largest single order for Terberg EV terminal tractors to date, it underlines global port operators’ confidence in Terberg’s advanced, latest-generation electric terminal tractors.

This confidence is evident from the proven track record of Terberg EV tractors operating successfully at terminals around the world.

These electric solutions deliver key advantages, including a lower carbon footprint, reduced maintenance effort, and a better work environment for drivers and others.

Terberg distributor Spia Maroc will supply and maintain the tractors.

Marsa Maroc is currently developing a greenfield terminal in the port of Nador West Med. This is a joint development, for one part with Terminal Investment Limited (TIL) and the other part with CMA CGM.

The new terminals will offer 1,520 metres of quayside, 70 hectares of yards and an annual capacity of 3.4 million TEUs. The first phase will become operational early in 2027.

Last week, RIKON won an international tender for the complex transportation of a fully assembled, German-produced Double Jib Level Luffing crane from the Port of Nador to the Port of Safi in Morocco.
