After more than 100 years of experience and projects on five continents, TAIM WESER has continued its expertise into the new decade. This paper will discuss the new installations the company has been working on across the main ports of the Mediterranean Sea – such as Huelva, Tarragona, Sagunto, and Cartagena in Spain; and Dunkerque and Marseille, in France.

Huelva Port, Spain
In Huelva Port, TAIM WESER supplied a new grain handling conveyor system for the company Terminal Marítima de Huelva S.L (TMH). Following several extensions, TMH’s storage facilities at Huelva Port have the capacity to store 160,000 tons of all kinds of grain. The circuit included a moving hopper; seven conveyor belts, two of them fitted with a tripper; and five transfer towers.

With this new product entrusted to TAIM WESER, TMH equipped the port with modern facilities, increasing Huelva’s technological competitiveness. The port is one of the main bulk ports in southern Europe and a strategic commercial spot.

Also at Huelva’s Port, the company supplied a handling and storage system for wood chips, including two mobile reception hoppers and a gantry-type stacker machine. Earlier, in 1999, TAIM WESER manufactured a ship loader with a capacity of 400 t/h for fertilizers.
