SAFEEN Drydocks has secured two vessel construction contracts worth a combined AED 1.3 billion ($354 million), its largest awards to date.
The first contract covers four 140-metre multipurpose vessels for AD Ports Group, among the most complex newbuild programmes undertaken in the UAE.
Each vessel will accommodate 300 TEUs including over 100 reefer plugs, high and heavy cargo, up to 1,000 cars, 100 trailers and 105 passengers, serving a broad range of cargo and logistics operations.
The second award covers 18 specialised marine support units, tugboats and pilot boats of varying sizes, for Nigeria’s Oilbank Logistics Services Ltd, supporting port operations and offshore logistics infrastructure.
SAFEEN Drydocks operates across facilities in the UAE and Spain, including its yard at Khalifa Port and the recently acquired Balenciaga Shipyard.

The company deploys modular construction methods, precision fabrication and multi-disciplinary engineering across both newbuild and repair programmes.
