Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) has appointed Lars Vang Christensen as Group CEO, succeeding Jens O. Floe, who led the company through a transformative period of expansion and international growth since 2016.
Christensen brings over 30 years of global experience in ports, shipping, and logistics, including executive roles at APM Terminals, Suez Canal Container Terminal, and Epic Gas Ltd., as well as leadership positions in industry bodies such as Danish Shipping and the International Chamber of Shipping.
Under Christensen, RSGT aims to accelerate strategic expansion, deepen international partnerships, and continue driving operational excellence.
Christensen said: “It is an honour to join RSGT at such an important stage. We will build on the strong foundation established by Jens, enhance customer value, and expand RSGT’s reach as a leading global trade player.”

Chairman Aamer Alireza added that Christensen’s proven record in scaling complex terminal operations would support RSGT’s next growth phase.
Floe’s tenure saw the doubling of handling capacity at Jeddah Islamic Port’s North Container Terminal, the realignment of shareholders, including PIF and COSCO Shipping Ports, and RSGT’s first international investment with a concession at Chittagong Port, Bangladesh.
In October 2025, RSGT and the CMA CGM Group signed a Term Sheet for a potential joint venture to develop and operate Terminal 4 at Jeddah Islamic Port.
