ZPMC secures bulk handling contract with Wenzhou Port, China

  • Wenzhou Port Group orders four bulk handling units for Leqing berths

ZPMC, the Shanghai-based crane manufacturer, has signed a contract with the Wenzhou Port Group for the supply of four bulk handling units to the Chinese port.

The contract, at a value of 128 million yuan, will see ZPMC provide bulk handling equipment for the first phase of the Leqing development in Wenzhou.

The equipment, aimed at boosting the port’s handling capacity, is scheduled for delivery in August 2014, according to Dredging Today.

Phase one of Wenzhou Port’s Leqing development involves the build of two 50,000 tonnage multi-purpose berths, designed for an annual handling capacity of around 3.8 million tonnes, will be used for the handling of coal, iron ore, containers and break-bulk cargo.
