The Yilport-associated Garip and Zeycan Yildirim Foundation has announced the “Game Changer” Port Innovation Contest, the first competition of its kind in the Turkish port industry.
Organized with Yilport’s full support, the contest allows undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students at universities to submit their projects as individuals or groups.
Themes of the contest include “Productivity and Optimization”, “Port Infrastructure” and “Artificial Intelligence”.

Each project will be assessed on a series of merits, such as originality, technological feasibility and risk factors, as well as its capacity to meet current needs of the port industry.
Prospective applicants can submit their project to the Garip and Zeycan Yildirim Foundation for free, with a submission deadline currently set for April 26, 2019.

A prize of €7500 (US$6,663) will be awarded to the first-place project, with the second-place project winning €5000 ($4,444) and the third-place project earning €2500 ($2,222).
In addition to this, the Garip & Zeycan Yildirim Foundation will also award the top three winners with education scholarships in Turkey until the end of their studies.
The owner of the first project, to be announced on May 2, 2019, will also participate in an international event sponsored by Yilport Holding.
