COSCO Shipping Ports Wuhan Terminal has marked the launch of foreign trade service business at the port on China’s inland river.

On 22 March, the terminal has successfully handled both domestic and foreign trade containers with the berthing of M.V. Lizhou Guoyun at the phase-II water-rail intermodal transport project of Wuhan Yangluo International Port.

The Wuhan terminal is part of the ‘Yangtze River Economic Belt’ and serves as a key trade hub on the Yangtze River.

Last week, COSCO announced its annual financial and operational results for 2021, posting a significant improvement in revenue.

The company posted revenues of $1.2 billion for 2021, a 20.7 per cent year-on-year increase over its income in 2020.
