Evergreen’s 23,995 TEU MV Ever Ace made its inaugural call at the Port of Colombo on 5 October 2021.
The A-Type vessel is now the largest ship in the world at 400 meters in length, 61.5 meters wide and nominal capacity of 23,992 TEU.
MV Ever Ace commenced sailing on 28 July 2021 on Evergreen Line’s CEM service in Asia-Europe trade.
The service has called at Qingdao (China), Shanghai (China), Ningbo (China), Taipei (Taiwan), Yantian (China), Rotterdam (Netherlands), Hamburg (Germany), and Felixstowe (UK) on its maiden voyage.
This comes after the news that Evergreen has taken delivery of two 12,000 TEU newbuilds as it aims to upgrade its Trans-Pacific service. Announced in December 2020, the carrier revealed the new Ever Forever and Ever Far vessels are the sixth and seventh of its new class 12,000 F-Type containership.
