The conference began with a networking evening at London’s SkyLounge before the big day, which saw six key sessions exploring key areas of automation from conceptual, technical and training angles.
The video surmises many of the top speakers at the conference and which created a dynamic space for delegates to put their questions to the speakers in real time.
As well as this, lively debate meant that each session saw experts stating their beliefs on the most practical ways to implement automation into terminals.
One highlight of the conference was the exclusive announcement of the launch of a training portal between Dr Yvo Saanen’s TBA and Port Technology.
Dr Saanen is a firm believer ‘gamification’ (learning by doing in the form of simulated games), and said during the conference: “…changing the way you operate with the same equipment under the same circumstances can improve productivity by 32%.”
