Why DP World London Gateway Chose Navis

A video released by Navis exhibits a project which is currently under way at the DP World London Gateway port complex, as well the port’s reasons for opting for the Navis’ N4 terminal operating system.

Navis has also recently announced a license agreement for its N4 system to be implemented at Baltic Container Terminal in Latvia.

James Warne, System Integration Manager at DP World London Gateway, said: “The main reasons for choosing the N4 is largely due to trying to find a product that is integrated with the equipment control systems.

“The strength of having the Cargotec solution – Kalmar on the one hand and Navis on the other working together – was a strong selling point for us.”

Construction at London Gateway is anticipated to be completed in 2017, when it will be able to accommodate the world’s mega containerships.
