Global thought leader Wolfgang Lehmacher is confirmed to speak at the upcoming Container Terminal Automation Conference 2019 in London, which runs from 6-8 of May.
Lehmacher is a world-renowned supply chain expert, who built a reputation for piercing supply chain insight in his recent role as Head of Supply Chain and Transport Industries with the World Economic Forum (WEF).
During this time, Lehmacher wrote a series of highly popular papers for Port Technology, with his paper Blockchain Technology for Ports the most downloaded of 2017.
With vast experience in the sector, Lehmacher was Partner and Managing Director (China and India) at the global strategy firm CVA in Hong Kong, and President and CEO of GeoPost Intercontinental, the global expansion vehicle of French La Poste in Paris prior to his role with the WEF.
Presently, he is assisting stakeholders across the global supply chain ecosystem – from start-ups, to asset owners, to Fortune 50 companies – in upscaling and transforming their organizations.
A creative and original thinker, Wolfgang Lehmacher is set to release a paper in Edition 84 of Port Technology focusing on ‘Ports as an App’.
Wolfgang is also a judge at the Automotive Logistics Awards Europe, a member of the IATA Air Cargo Innovation Awards Jury and the Logistikweisen, a think tank under the patronage of the German Federal Ministry BMVI.
Lehmacher is an FT, Forbes, Fortune, and BI contributor, as well as the author of several business books, including The Global Supply Chain.
