Five major marine and industrial service companies have announced their unification under a single brand: Vigor Marine Group.
The companies joining forces are Vigor, Continental Maritime of San Diego, MHI Ship Repair & Services, Seaward Marine Services, and Accurate Marine Environmental.
The new entity aims to deliver comprehensive maintenance, modernisation, and lifecycle management solutions for both military and commercial vessels across the US.

Vigor Marine Group offers a wide range of services, including drydocking, pier-side, and topside marine services, supported by integrated project management teams on both coasts to ensure vessels are returned to service promptly.
The group is actively involved in several significant national projects:
- Selected for the U.S. Navy’s Arleigh Burke-class Destroyer Modernization 2.0 programme.
- Leading the $4 billion zero-emission transition for Washington State Ferries, beginning with hybrid-electric conversions of three Jumbo Mark II-class ferries.
- Partnering with the U.S. Army to produce the Maneuver Support Vessel (Light), a next-generation landing craft.
Vigor Marine Group is organised into three main divisions:
- Maintenance & Modernisation: Encompassing shipyards in Portland, Seattle, and Ketchikan, as well as certified repair facilities in San Diego and Norfolk.
- Marine Services: Including tank cleaning, wastewater treatment, and underwater hull cleaning and coating.
- Marine Fabrication: Continuing the group’s legacy in small-craft production for defence, fisheries, and commercial clients.
