A recent video released by Maersk, the world’s leading shipping company, articulates how it was the first business to implement waterborne paint in a bid to create a safer and healthier working environment at ports.
A video recently published by PTI shows an animation on how to effectively recycle a Maersk Triple-E ship.
In the video, a Maersk employee explains that additional equipment was required to implement the waterborne paint and staff had to be trained and trialled.
EU ship-owners have recently called for an approval of the 2009 Hong Kong Convention which is aimed at ensuring that ships do not pose any unnecessary human and environmental risks once they are recycled.
