Vessel loses 26 containers near the Netherlands

Marcos V

Over the weekend, the Dutch Coastguard attempted to find 26 empty containers that had fallen off the Marcos V box ship.

The 6,350 TEU vessel encountered strong winds from Storm Eunice which led to the container spill near the Wadden Islands, north of Vlieland.

The ship set sail for Rotterdam after leaving Bremerhaven when it faced the extreme weather conditions.
