Valenciaport joins Maritime Silk Road forum in Ningbo
Valenciaport took part in the Maritime Silk Road Port Cooperation Forum (MPF), which is being held in the Chinese port city of Ningbo.

The Port Authority of València (PAV) is represented by its President, Mar Chao, who has participated in the internal presentations that will lead to the ‘Ningbo Declaration 2025’, a document in which the world’s major ports express the strategic lines that will mark their expectations and decisions for the coming years.

Over the past 10 years, the Forum has become an annual event for the global port and shipping industry, and the outcomes of the Forum have been included in the list of outcome documents of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation on two occasions.

Launched in 2015, the Maritime Silk Road 2025 Port Cooperation Forum is held in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, ‘Green Sharing and Smart Interconnection’.

Mar Chao has been invited to the two high-level forums where lines of collaboration between ports have been explored for the ‘go green, go intelligent’, which is at the forefront of the discussions.

Earlier this year, PAV reported that China and the United States were its primary commercial partners in 2024, contributing 34 per cent of total traffic.
