VAHLE Group, a provider of technological solutions, has announced that it has signed a contract to participate in the Ain Dubai Project, to build the world’s largest observation wheel.
The huge structure, which is expected to stand over 210 metres in height, is to be built on Bluewaters, an island destination by Meraas, Dubai.
Once construction is completed, Ain Dubai will tower over the London Eye and Las Vegas’ High Roller, which are 135 metres and 167 metres respectively.
VAHLE is supplying electrical busbars for the wheel, as well as 15 kilometres of special conductor systems, switching cabinets, the lightning conductor rail and a track monitoring system.
On August 17th 2018, CEO of VAHLE Group Achim Dries signed a contract to confirm the company’s involvement in the project.
According to a statement, this order is another successful example of VAHLE´s market focus that took place last year.
The company’s newly implemented department “System and Project Business”, led by Head of Global Market Management Electrification Thomas Müller, has already celebrated successes in 2018.
One of the orders won by the business includes its role in the electrification of a window cleaning system for the Lakhta Tower in Saint Petersburg, Europe’s tallest building.
