The US Coast Guard has released footage of it saving a 22-year-old man who suffered seizures while at sea on a cargo ship during July 31, 2018.

Shuklendra Singh from India suffered a seizure at 4:52am while working on the 614-foot Bahama Spirit from Vanuatu.

The ship was 35 miles off the west coast of Tampa Bay when his fellow crewmembers raised the distress call to the Coast Guard Base Sector St Petersburg, saying Singh needed emergency assistance.

An Air Station Clearwater MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter lifted Singh from the Bahama Spirit and later disembarked at Tampa General Hospital.
