UPS has undergone a major expansion of its ocean Less-Than-Container Load (LCL) service with the addition of direct sailings in 130 lanes.
The origin and destination countries cover most of the globe, including ports in Asia, Latin America, Africa, Europe, US, the Carribean and the Middle East.
LCL allows shippers who are unable to fill an entire ocean freight container with cargo to take advantage of a freight forwarder’s ability to combine shipments and organize transport to major ports worldwide.
Customers benefit from an economical way to transport goods versus other modes of transportation while gaining access to services such as cargo insurance, customs brokerage, supplier management and China to Europe rail services.
