UK investment firm acquires 5% stake in ICTSI

Genesis Asset Managers LLP, an investment management company based in the UK, has acquired five percent interest in the global port operator International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI).

Genesis has now purchased a total of 97.01 million ICTSI shares from the open market, as stated by an ownership report filed with the Philippine Stock exchange on Monday.

Established in 1989, Genesis is a research-driven organisation who intends to provide institutional clients with excellent investment returns. The investment management company focuses on emerging markets equities, serving institutional clients in the UK, US, Europe, Australia and the Middle East.

ICTSI directly operates the Manila International Container Terminal at the Port of Manila. The terminal service also owns or operates facilities in sixteen countries over five continents including China, Brazil, Syria, India, Colombia and the US.
