The Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB), a UK government agency, is conducting an investigation into a collision between a UK-registered container ship and an Italian LPG tanker.
According to reports, the incident happened approximately four miles southeast of Gibraltar on August 4, 2018, leading MAIB to immediately begin its enquiry.
It has been revealed that both vessels suffered damage as a result of the collision, although no injuries or pollution have been reported following the incident.

The identity of the UK-registered container ship has been reported as the ANL Wyong, according to Bunkerspot.
Marine Traffic’s vessel-tracking platform has positioned it as berthed at the Spanish port of Campamento Algeciras as of 11:00 am GMT.
King Arthur, the Italian LPG tanker with which it collided, was also berthed in Algeciras, and like the ANL Wyong, it is still waiting to leave the Bay of Gibraltar.
