TTS Marine Inc. has announced that it will supply container handling equipment for Global Container Terminals' (GCT) New Jersey facility.
For an approximate NOK65 million, TTS, a subsidiary of the TTS Group ASA (TTS), will supply the terminal with patented TTS cassette system and translifter technology to assist in transportation from the container port to the intermodal terminal.
A TTS translifter is a self-loading trailer, designed to be coupled with any universal towing tractor.
The manually operated vehicles lift and move the specially designed cassettes using hydraulic systems, creating a safe, flexible system ensuring maximum efficiency and minimum loss time.
Delivery is scheduled for completion in June 2015.
