Tsubaki Kabelschlepp has developed a new TKHD series of cable carriers for long travel lengths in crane industries such as bulk handling.

TKHD cable carriers are designed to have a long service life in dirty and rough environmental conditions, with features such as an encapsulated stroke system, a dirt-resistant outer contour, and a reinforced bolt hole connection.

A special double-fork and tab design also reinforced the solid sidebands and quiet running is ensured by an integrated brake and noise damping.

The width of the TKHD series can be adapted to the available space as the aluminum can be altered in one-millimeter increments and fixable dividers also allow the vertical inner distribution to be changed.

Users also benefit from fast installation as the cable carriers can be opened inwards and outwards to install cables and hoses.

The TKHD series is designed so it can be used gliding, rolling and unsupported.

If the cable carriers are used gliding, replaceable glide shoes ensure an extended service life of the system.

Peter Sebastian Pütz, Head of Crane Business at Tsubaki Kabelschlepp, said: “The TKHD series now adds a real powerhouse to our range in this area – a first on the market.

“Plastic cable carriers of this size with a smaller pitch were previously not available in the industry, so we are filling a gap in the market.”
