Tsubaki Kabelschlepp, a specialist in cable carrier solutions, has provided an overview as to how it is supporting preventive maintenance for Wessling Oberflächenveredelung GmbH (WOB).
WOB is the operator of Europe’s largest special plant for contract coating, and uses hanging cranes to provide fully automatic transport for parts weighing up to around 9.5 tons.
The plant also includes several cable carriers from Tsubaki, which the company inspects and services as part of its exclusive maintenance offering, allowing WOB to reduce risks and prevent downtimes caused by damaged equipment.

According to a statement, annual inspections of the plant involve the rigorous testing of Tsubaki’s cable carrier, which are moved along their entire length and examined.
During this process, any defects, risks or “optimization potentials” are detected and recorded, as well as the technical condition of all equipment.

In addition to this, the inspection is adapted to the customer’s schedules and requests, making it easier to plan for downtimes and prevent any unforeseeable financial consequences.
Sebastian Hüer, WOB, commented: “The cable carriers from Tsubaki Kabelschlepp have a high quality. But even the best product is not immune to wear.
“To be on the safe side, we have now been using the MRO service from Tsubaki Kabelschlepp for some time.”
