Navi-Harbour VTMS integrated at Argentinean port
Transas USA has installed its Navi-Harbour Vessel Traffic Management System (VTMS) in Bahia Blanca Port, Argentina.
The Navi-Harbour VTS system, making use of Radar, CCTV and AIS, consists of two operator workstations, one recording and playback station and three VHF stations which are all used by the port authority to manage and monitor the marine traffic in their area of responsibility. In addition to this, the system includes an online portal allowing authorized users to view, in real time, the marine traffic in the port and the surrounding areas.
Bahia Blanca Port, the second largest port in Argentina, is located in the south-west province of Buenos Aires between La Pampa and Patagonia.
