Transas Marine has launched a new liquid cargo handling simulator, LCHS 5000 TechSim LNG.
The new simulator is the first to offer ship-to-ship transfer functionality, an often complex and dangerous procedure to both crew and vessel.
LCHS 5000 will enable a highly realistic, in-depth training environment using high-end simulation technology. The software includes vessel team management exercises, as well as interaction with terminal operations staff.
The LCHS 5000 TechSim line includes simulators for LNG tanker, LNG terminal, allowing for complete resource management training involving crews of both mother and daughter vessels.
All LNG simulations were developed in close collaboration with the Sczecin Maritime Academy, Poland.
Simulated models have been designed to reflect the real installations currently under-construction at the Swinoujscie LNG terminal, Poland.
Furthermore, an LPG vessel model simulation is supplied, developed by Transas, with validation from LPG operators.
The new developments will be showcased during the Gastech exhibition in Gyonggi, Republic of Korea, during March 24-27. Transas can be found at stand J210.
