Transas awarded Malaysian VTMS contracts

  • Transas Marine Pacific to install VTMS in Tawau and Kimanis

Transas Marine Pacific has been awarded two contracts for its Vessel Traffic Management Systems (VTMS) in Malaysia.

In partnership with KASI Malaysia, Transas will install systems in the Port of Tawau and the Kimanis Bay Terminal.

Scope of supply includes the Transas Navi-Harbour VTS software package, two 19-foot radars, two Transas AIS Base Station T214s, two Transas CCTV systems, two VHF direction finders, two standalone playback workplaces and six operator workplaces.

Together with KASI, Transas has already carried out a series of successful projects and initiatives including the installation of Vessel Traffic Management Systems at the Sapangar Bay Container Terminal, Sandakan and Lahad Datu.
