Tideworks Technology, a terminal operating system (TOS) provider, has successfully deployed an advanced integration with Freightliner Ltd., a maritime intermodal logistics operator.
The integration streamlines planning by reducing manual processes and improving consistency, speed, and accuracy across Freightliner’s UK terminals — supporting scalable growth and optimised asset utilisation.
The solution links Freightliner’s existing use of Tideworks’ Intermodal Pro® (IPRO) with Decisions, a low-code automation platform designed for AI-driven decision-making, enabling intelligent, rule-based automation of rail booking and planning across its UK terminal network.
The deployment also uses Tideworks’ Business Rules Engine and enhanced Planning API to transmit planning data to Decisions, which applies terminal-specific rules to automate booking assignments to virtual railcars.
This reportedly streamlines manual processes, improves data accuracy, and enhances system communication across Freightliner’s network.
