A video released by the BBC recently shows a shipping container that was converted into a lab in order to provide faster and accurate diagnosis of MDR Tuberculosis.
PTI has previously reported on a number ways in which shipping containers have been used in providing a refuge in political uprising, as office blocks in Tokyo, and as independently-constructed container houses.
In the video, the narrator explains that as a quick and accurate diagnosis is key to keeping the disease under control, a specialist lab was built so that patients could receive same-day test results.
