TecPlata, International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI)‘s advanced port terminal in Argentina, has announced it is boosting connectivity to Asian markets through Ocean Network Express (ONE)’s two new services.
TecPlata joins ONE’s East Coast South America Express 2 (SX2) service, connecting key Far East ports to major East Coast South American hubs.
The terminal links to SX2 via the River Plate Express (RPX), a dedicated feeder service between Argentina and Uruguay, launching in May 2025.
The SX2 service, with a direct stop in Pusan, ensures smooth trade between South Korea, northern China, and Japan.

The RPX’s exclusive route through Río Grande, Zárate, and ICTSI’s Buenos Aires terminal improves distribution, speeds up transit, and enhances schedule reliability with fewer port calls.
Juan Pablo Trujillo, TecPlata Chief Executive Officer, said: “With our inclusion in this new service that expands access to Asian markets, TecPlata reaffirms its leadership in Argentina’s port sector by combining cutting-edge technology, operational efficiency, and sustainability.”
In February, the terminal obtained the Business Alliance for Secure Commerce (BASC) certification. Companies that achieve BASC certification reportedly adhere strictly to security and control management protocols, helping prevent illegal activities such as smuggling, drug trafficking, terrorism, and cargo theft.
