Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation (Yang Ming) and PSA International (PSA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly advance low-carbon solutions across the maritime supply chain, combining maritime fuel initiatives with electrified terminal operations.
The agreement was signed by Ivan Chiang, Chief Logistics Officer and Senior Vice President of Yang Ming, and Eddy Ng, Group Head of Operations, Technology and Sustainability at PSA International, in the presence of Kevin Lee, President of Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation, and Ong Kim Pong, Group CEO of PSA International.
Kevin Lee said: “Enhancing green competitiveness is at the heart of Yang Ming’s operations. As no single company can achieve supply chain decarbonisation alone, we are pleased to partner with PSA, to provide sea-land joint carbon inset package. By combining our maritime fuel initiatives with PSA’s electrified terminal capabilities, we offer global clients an adaptable and verifiable approach to mitigate transparent emissions and fulfil their sustainability objectives.”

Yang Ming said it had cut its carbon intensity by 63.32 per cent against 2008 levels by the end of 2025, underpinning the launch of its EcoSea+ green transport service, which integrates low-carbon navigation capabilities to help customers reduce Scope 3 transportation emissions.
PSA aims to extend sustainability gains from terminal to landside operations through integrated port and supply chain capabilities.
