OOCL launches China–Indonesia CIS1 service

Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has introduced a new China–Indonesia Service (CIS1), aimed at strengthening network coverage and improving schedule reliability between the two markets.

Set to commence on 20 April 2026, the service is designed to support rising cargo volumes and provide more consistent transit times across key trade lanes linking Chinese and Indonesian ports.

The rotation will connect Shanghai, Ningbo and Jakarta, offering a streamlined loop intended to enhance operational efficiency and provide greater flexibility for shippers moving cargo between the regions.

The move reflects continued demand growth on intra-Asia routes, with carriers increasingly refining service networks to improve reliability and port connectivity.

Recently, OOCL unveiled a new Southeast Asia – Indian Subcontinent Service (SIS), marking its first dedicated route linking Southeast Asia with India’s west coast and Pakistan.
