The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) will increase its transit tolls from January next year.

Adm. Ossama Rabiee, SCA’s Chairman and Managing Director, announced last week the authority will increase transit tolls for all types of vessels by 15 per cent during 2023.

The increase is at 10 per cent for dry bulk ships and cruise ships.

Rabiee said the toll increase keeps up to date with the ever-increasing daily charter rates for most types of vessels.
