Kalmar, a part of Cargotec Corporation, has agreed a deal with Container Terminal Saint-Petersburg (CTSP) to supply a total of 16 terminal tractors.
Situated in the Port of St. Petersburg, one of Russia’s largest ports, CTSP handles all types of containerized cargo.
The modern facilities available to CTSP include an automated control system that enables high-speed container handling, supports the operations of incoming vessels, and optimizes transport via road and rail.

According to a statement, the terminal has experienced significant growth in recent years and recorded a 12% increase in annual throughput volume during 2018.
CTSP already operates a fleet of over 50 Kalmar reachstackers, forklift trucks, empty container handlers and terminal tractors, the latter of which are used to transport containers from the waterside to the warehouse.
Kalmar has also asserted the reliability and performance level of its i-model terminal tractors, which are especially adept at “moving heavy loads in harsh port conditions”.
