TMEIC Corporation Americas, a subsidiary of TMEIC Corporation (Japan), has launched Pulse Mobile, a virtual gate platform designed to shift terminal check-in processes away from the physical gate and into the digital space before trucks arrive.
The platform addresses a persistent operational problem at container terminals.
According to TMEIC, between 25 and 30 per cent of trucks entering ports encounter an issue at the point of entry, generating bottlenecks that affect both terminal throughput and trucking productivity.
Pulse Mobile moves documentation validation, optical character recognition (OCR) checks and cargo verification upstream, processing them against the terminal operating system ahead of scheduled appointments.
Combined with real-time communication between terminal, carrier and driver, the platform claims to resolve up to 80 per cent of exceptions before a truck reaches the gate.

Francisco Grau, Managing Director, TMEIC Port Technologies, said: “On average, 25-30 per cent of trucks that enter ports encounter an operational issue at the point of entry, creating bottlenecks and operational inefficiencies for terminals and trucking companies alike
“The Pulse Mobile solution is designed to alleviate that congestion by allowing terminals to resolve exceptions before trucks even arrive at the gate. This end-to-end model for operational validation enables a more predictable, efficient flow across the terminal ecosystem.”
