Portchain adds Copenhagen Malmö Port to its network
Portchain has announced that Copenhagen Malmö Port has joined its Portchain Connect network, enabling digital coordination of berth alignment and schedule data exchange with carriers.

The terminal will use Portchain Connect to improve the speed and accuracy of berth planning through digital handshakes and secure data sharing, supporting closer alignment between vessel operators and terminal planning teams.

The platform allows Copenhagen Malmö Port to receive real-time vessel schedule and move count updates directly from carrier systems, while also enabling rapid responses and counterproposals to align vessel calls with berth availability.

Portchain Connect is designed to streamline vessel schedule data exchange between terminals and carriers, reducing reliance on manual communication and improving the time required to finalise berthing windows.

The system provides terminals with a consolidated view of vessel calls, allowing for more efficient planning, reduced coordination delays, and improved schedule reliability across port calls.

By digitising berth alignment workflows, the platform aims to reduce administrative friction and support more predictable vessel planning across port operations.

Thor Thorup, Chief Commercial Officer & Co-Founder, Portchain, said: “We’re pleased to welcome Copenhagen Malmö Port to the Portchain Network. As a key logistics hub connecting Scandinavia with international trade flows, earlier alignment between terminals and carriers supports more predictable and efficient vessel planning.”
