Ocean Network Express (ONE) and MTI Ltd set up a joint venture, QUAVEO Company Limited, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to develop and deploy AI-driven operational tools for shipping and logistics.
The venture focuses on applying artificial intelligence (AI) to real-world shipping operations, moving beyond pilot projects to systems that can be used at scale.
ONE contributes operational expertise from running a global container network of more than 260 vessels, while MTI brings experience in AI development, implementation and workforce training.
QUAVEO’s remit includes optimising vessel deployment, equipment use and logistics flows; automating customer enquiries and routine back-office tasks; and supporting companies in building in-house AI capability.

The company will also develop and sell AI solutions to clients beyond shipping, including in distribution and manufacturing.
Based in Vietnam, QUAVEO is intended to operate close to customers’ day-to-day operations, with an emphasis on rapid development and practical deployment rather than abstract digitalisation strategies.
The name QUAVEO is a constructed term intended to reflect growth and evolution, rather than a specific technical function.
Looking ahead, the partners see growing demand for AI systems that can be embedded into complex operational environments and deliver measurable returns.
QUAVEO plans to expand its work beyond maritime transport as it scales its technology and delivery model.
In December 2025, ONE entered into an agreement to acquire a minority stake in Dalian Container Terminal (DCT) in Dalian, China.
