Tibar Bay Port, located near the capital, aims to build the first modern container terminal and handle up to 750,000 containers annually at its 630-metre pier.

The port was built by China Harbour Engineering Company and is owned and operated by Bolloré Group.

With this second order, ShibataFenderTeam Group completed the equipment of the new infrastructure, right on time before the operational inauguration of the port in September 2022.

In December 2022, Bolloré Ports inaugurated the port, marking the country’s first public-private partnership.

The new port is intended to enhance logistics services in East Timor and adapt to the latest advancements in the maritime and port industry.
