Seven Cs GmbH, the Hamburg-based software company, has released the newest model in their line of maritime navigation systems.
The Channel ECDIS, AIS and Course Trajectory (CEACT) system aims to improve operational efficiency and situational awareness for vessels to safely navigate through waters.
The system has been designed especially to assist professional towboats and workboat operations within the confined waterways of the US inland river system.
The new CEACT system introduces a modernised user interface for enhanced readability in all ambient conditions and hopes to provide a more user friendly service.
Advanced chart rendering will also allow for faster loading and display of the respective chart which aims to optimise efficiency.
Users will also benefit from a fully automatic CPA function including different calculations for rivers, channels and offshore travel.
CEACT also comes with extended support of BSB charts, including head-up display, which is extremely useful in areas not yet covered by ENCs.
Furthermore, with weekly updates, and the USACE’s buoy overlays, CEACT is made to keep up to date and ensure the safety of all on board.
